I scheduled shots in my back. They asked that I bring someone along. No one was available so I had to Uber. Once I arrived. They asked for my driver was and I told him it was Uber. The charge nurse came out and said that that was not acceptable. Then I called their supposed customer care line, and they also denied it so I was unable to get the care that I needed.
If you need great orthopedic support, go to OIP
Went there because we thought my son had a stress fracture in his shin. Everything was really great at first. Didn't wait at all. Check-in staff were all super nice. The nurse who took us back was really nice. They took him for an x-ray and then the dr. came in. The doctor had zero personality and seemed annoyed to be dealing with us. All he was talking about was shin splints and acting pretty condescending to my kid (17). I said, "We're here because we think he has a stress fracture". He told me that x-rays don't show stress fractures. So why on earth would they even take an x-ray? He sent us home with instructions to stop doing the thing that caused the pain. So I will end up paying thousands of dollars for a completely unnecessary x-ray. And my kid now feels like he's crazy because of the way the doctor acted when he was talking about the excruciating pain he was in.
I went to OSS with severe knee pain. I was given X-rays and the only thing they wanted to comment on was that my bones looked fine. I knew i didn't break my knee but my tendons or ligaments were hurt. They barely even checked out my knee outside of the X-ray and sent me on my way with basic steroids in hopes that it would get better. 5 days later no relief or answers for that matter, i went to UPMC. Got a full exam, felt my entire knee, asked my symptoms and was properly diagnosed. I have PT scheduled through UPMC, and was put on an antibiotic that ACTUALLY HELPED. Do NOT go to OSS and save yourselves the days of pain and hassle and just go to UPMC.
