Jim Mumper was recommended on a short list of contractors when my wife and I moved to the area, and he custom-built our home in 1996. Over the last 25 years, Jim has designed and completed a number of commercial offices that give me pride in the finished product, and satisfaction that he delivered what he promised. My background in real estate development and construction makes me aware that the lowest apparent price is often not the best value. But Jim’s costs are very competitive. What sets Jim apart from most builders is his ability to be creative and flexible to listen to a customer’s needs, then respond with a practical and affordable plan to achieve what the customer wants, in a manner that Jim’s extensive experience knows is best. Sometimes Jim uses his CAD design ability to modify details while meeting. It is important to understand that any contractor needs to make a profit, and sometimes circumstances require some ability to adapt. Integrity matters. I have never felt that Jim has nickel and dimed me or misrepresented the truth. It’s not every day that one encounters a contractor who has a construction degree from a prestigious university like Georgia Tech, personal experience of building homes with his own hands from the ground up, a following of loyal subcontractors with whom he has worked for decades, a sense of humor, and a strong sense of integrity.Services: Remodeling
