Let me start by saying we have been taking our 11 year old German Shepherd to Wagsworth since he was a puppy and their boarding and activities services are beyond anyones expectations. However their grooming services has declined greatly and I can only hope it is because of new personal and new mid management. As I stated our Shepard is 11 years old and obviously has some arthritis. So when I picked him up today from a grooming and nail cut, I was told they may not be able to cut his nails anymore because of his arthritis, which I didn’t understand. So when I received a call later from the “Senior manager” she explained that he couldn’t stand long enough when the raised his front leg to cut his nail and he fought them. I asked why he couldn’t sit down and I was told “that’s not how we do it here”. There are also instructions to muzzle him when cutting his nails, which I’m not sure they followed, as she also stated he tried to bite them. Anyone that knows a German Shepard, when they try to bite you they do, lol. For the record My Shepard has never bit anyone. I hope upper management see’s this and reviews there policies and procedures as I’m sure my Shepard isn’t the only senior dog they care for.
