“I am beyond thrilled to be sharing my experience with Julie. I recently bought a 2 hour makeup session. I have always worn makeup, but I haven't updated my makeup in years. My makeup products and application styles are the same as they were a decade ago. My skin has changed a lot since having children, and an overhaul was long overdue. Here's a cliff notes version of my experience:

- Personality: Julie is friendly, sweet, gentle, and extremely easy to feel comfortable around. Bringing old, outdated makeup to a professional makeup artist can be intimidating and uncomfortable. ("Am I using the wrong blush? Is my mascara the right kind?") Julie reviews your makeup products without judgement or criticism. She understands that we are all trying our best and that we are here to learn and improve.

- Communication + Education: Julie does a fantastic job communicating before, during, and after the session. Her course has a strong focus in education, too. Meaning, you will be participating in applying products throughout the session. You won't leave the session and think, "Wait, how did she do that? Which brush do I use for bronzer? What brand was that mascara?", etc. She understands that clients need to be able to go home and correctly apply the products she's introduced. You will receive instructional resources, links, and a face chart that will be helpful after the session.

- Professionalism: Julie's studio is beautiful and she comes prepared and ready to work. Throughout every step she took the time to make sure that there was no cross contamination between products and tools.

No doubt about it, Julie is incredibly talented. She understands skin types, color theory, and application techniques. She introduced colors to my face that I never, ever would have chosen, and they looked STUNNING. Julie will make you fall in love with your skin and natural beauty.“

“I have had my knives sharpened here twice, both times a good experience. Recently I dropped off 3 Wustof knives, 1 serrated, to be sharpened and asked if they could be done in 1 day, I was pleasantly surprised and impressed that the job was completed in a little over an hour! They were polite, friendly and prices very reasonable for the job. And the quality of sharpening was excellent. Highly recommended.“
