Marissa is incredibly talented, and I highly recommend her for any of your hair needs! I never quite know what I want to do with my hair, but she always finds a way to make me feel confident in my hair. I have very thin hair, and I’ve always been insecure about hair volume (or lack there of), and Marissa gives great recommendations of products, and styles my hair in a way that makes me feel SO good about my hair!Not only is she talented and professional, but she creates an atmosphere in her salon where you feel instantly welcomed, inspired, and empowered. Marissa, the owner of Emerald & Ivy, is truly a gem. She is great at what she does, and is very knowledgeable about her craft. It is rare to find someone so talented at both color and cut. The fact that she does what she does using healthier safer products is an added bonus. On top of her being great at what she does, she is also a wonderful person. I truly enjoy going to her salon and look forward to our conversations. I feel lucky to have met Marissa and fortunate to be her client.

I have been going to Marissa for about two years now. My natural hair texture is that of wirey broom with too many grays for someone not yet 30, and Marissa has transformed it into a blonde silky dream!!Do not sleep on the Cezanne smoothing treatment!!!! It took away my frizz, allows meto blow dry my hair smooth in 5 minutes, and heated styles stay for DAYS!!! Worth every penny. If you’re thinking of doing it, just do it! It’s the cure to frizz!!
