Black's installed our water softener in December 2024. We chose them because they are a long-standing locally owned small business. Our untreated well water is moderately hard at 300 mg/L (18 grains per gallon) and was creating ugly calcium deposits in our sinks, showers, and toilets. The softener installation solved the problem and all deposits have disappeared. The water tastes better and soaps up nicely. We decided to use potassium chloride crystals instead of salt and it works perfectly. Recently, I called Black's, and one of the owners helped me understand an issue with our pressure tank even though they didn't install it. Top notch service!
