I've been buying the natural fine triple shredded bark mulch for the past few years (8 yards/yearly) and it is by far the best quality mulch and the nicest people to deal with. Carl the owner and the customer service assistant Gabriela are very friendly and professional. They truly care about their customers even if you live far from Upper Darby in Blue Bell, PA. Here are photos of the mulch and my gardens. I highly recommend this company to do business with. The delivery was on time and the driver was very nice. I have never seen such a fine natural tripple shredded fine bark NO GARBAGE and chemicals in this mulch. All natural and my shrubs and plants love it. Delco is the best company to buy mulch from. “We had a very overgrown multi-trunk wild cherry that was in a difficult location on our property boundary. Chad (the owner) was extremely accommodating and timely in meeting with me for a quote. He had done work for many of my neighbors and is a local guy. We were able to quickly agree to the price and shook on it. Two days later, I received the written proposal. The quote was dramatically lower than one I received from another well-respected company. Chad suggested the difference might be equipment, as his crew were climbers and they didn't use lifts or cranes. This was something not even mentioned by the other company.

Two weeks later, his crew spent over 6 hours removing the tree, navigating not only our yard and fence, but also our neighbors, where the chipper truck needed to be parked.They even removed a section of our metal fence for access to the tree. Everything was left in perfect shape afterwards and the cleanup was immaculate. Chad was on-site most if not the whole day. HIGHLY recommend!“

RP Keller worked with what we needed and made our back yard an HGTV backyard. Also wanted to add the sprinkler system. The installation was great. Keller and his crew installed a blue tooth router which I download the app. This app is amazing where I can change my watering times, days, and any possible thing you can think of. The system is smart as will let you know if there are issues and Keller also has access to system as well which if your not handy he can trouble shoot and correct the issue. “Poor communication. Over promise and under deliver. I contracted with Philadelphia Gardens to complete a small front garden for an investment property in Grad Hospital area. My initial contact was early spring 2025 with the hope of having the project completed prior to the heat of the summer. After our initial consultation, I waited weeks for a plan (following up with them often, as they stated it would not take long to complete such a small design). By the time planting occurred we were into the summer heat, thus, at their suggestion, I paid extra for an irrigation system to be installed. There was an issue with the installation which was never communicated to me, so a few weeks passed without proper watering. Several plants did not survive, and Philadelphia Gardens wanted to charge me for replacements. I am a 30 year home owner who has completed several landscaping projects, all of which had warranty's on the plants. Philadelphia Gardens is the first organization I have encountered that does not stand behind the work they performed.

Update:
I have adjusted my review based on recent corrective action taken by Philadelphia Gardens following my initial review. Philadelphia Gardens has replaced the plants that did not make it through the first season, and performed complementary bed maintenance while on site. However, I could not go to five stars, as I do not believe it should take a negative review to engender their corrective actions.“

“Great supply house with awesome customer service right in the Ridley area! If you need any supplies, come in and see Brian and the team, they will take good care of you. Had a Stihl chainsaw that needed some new parts, they had the parts in stock, and even put them on for me and no additional charge.“

“M&D Landscaping was quick to give a quote and complete the initial job which included weeding, mulching, mowing and edging. They did a fantastic job. After providing payment for the first session, we agreed to a price and schedule for biweekly lawn service for a very reasonable price. Unfortunately, despite multiple calls, texts and voicemails I have not been able to get in touch with anyone from M&D landscaping since (over the past three weeks). I am quite disappointed because I would have preferred to stick with M&D landscaping for my landscaping needs.“

“Extreme Landscaping did an outstanding job for Historic St. George's UMC. We brought a unique problem to them: we needed a large archeological excavation site backfilled with dirt in our courtyard. An added challenge was that with HSG having being constructed in 1769, our wrought iron gate would not provide access for even a mini backhoe to be used, it had to be done manually. Dan and Ashley provided excellent communication and follow up with us, promptly getting a rep to visit the site, provided an estimate, scheduled the project within the time frame we needed it accomplished. The Extreme Landscaping crew arrived on time and did an excellent job. Can't recommend Extreme Landscaping highly enough!“
