My 11-yr old has been taking classes with Patrick for 3/4 of a year, and my 8-yr old just finished an 8-week class. I would highly recommend Seufert Art Studio for anyone with kids who are interested in art. We were looking for an encouraging environment but also one where children's abilities are respected enough for them to be given constructive feedback instead of just being told their work is "perfect" the way it is. Patrick's classes really strike that balance! My kids love attending the class, and their drawing and painting skills are improving.
The Seufert Art studio is hands down the best place to learn how to master traditional art! I learned of this studio back in high school and Mrs. Seufert taught me the necessary skills to craft a college accepted portfolio. After attending college art classes, I realize it couldn't compare with the professional level of care and individual instruction that the Seuferts provide for their students. While many classes focus on creating art to meet deadlines and the more conceptual aspects of art, the Seuferts encourage devoting the time it takes to create quality pieces and stress the importance of learning the fundamentals. I can't say enough good things about Seufert Art Studios and their instructors. My daughter has been going there since 4th grade (now a college freshman, and still going) and we have nothing but positive things to say about our experience there - my daughter loves it. The instruction is top notch for all ages and they take pride in their students. No matter what their current artistic level is when they enter, Seufert wants to see everyone get better and to enjoy art, and they do whatever they can to make that happen.
