Berkheimer has been charging me a local tax in a county I don’t live in anymore for the past 3 years even after I’ve called and told them I moved 5 times. They just keeping sending the bills. There communication and the way the handle business is awful to put it nicely. This company is incompetent and needs to do better. Very displeased, wish I could leave 0 stars.

Spoke to a woman named Susan over the phone and I'm so sorry but how did she get hired????

She’s incredibly rude, and I’ve worked customer service for years so I’m always extremely careful and polite with anyone over the phone because I know exactly how it feels to be in that position.

But I felt incredibly uncomfortable with her lack of respect and communication skills during our conversation. Not only did I not feel listened to at all, but she made me feel incredibly dumb for dialing the correct number on the official website!

They don't set the fees, your township does. They are just the contracted collector.
Taxes come the same time every year, and are your legal responsibility to pay. If you didn't receive it, they will print one for you.
Online fees are set by the credit card company. Use a check online for $1, bring it in for free, or mail it in.
All calls are recorded, so accusations of racism are verifiable.
Mistakes happen, but they will try to fix them. Bring your proof, and be polite.
