“Today was my second day having teeth removed, one remarkable man is the reason for the four star’s in this review. The doctor I had seen during the last visit seemed kind of dismissive. He really gave no insight on his conclusions or what he was seeing, Even the hygienist needed Clarification because it was just kind of strange mumbles. I had to really pry information about what he was seeing with my gum disease. But, long story short, it led to me having a second tooth taken out today. I felt a bit rushed in the beginning of the appointment as they were running a half hour behind schedule. I was supposed to have two teeth removed but after inflammation went down from last visit I wanted to see if we could keep one tooth. Again, doctor didnt say much but “yeah sure, looks better”. No feedback. It just didnt feel conclusive and i think the man that sedated me saw that too. Ill be honest, im not so comfortable with men and was especially nervous when there werent any woman in the room. ( the extraction before there were but i totally understand there cannot always be). Long story short, the man who put me under sedation, Jason I think his name was…absolutely remarkable. He seemed so in tune with me I really felt seen and like he cared, and he really advocated for me. He was so receptive and seeing that I was not quite sure they understood what I was saying as they gave no feedback. He got answers. He got feedback. He made them reiterate. He showed an empathy that made feel like god heard my fear in those moments and worked through him. (I hate dental procedures its a big fear as it is) Many blessings, thanks for reading.“

“I've only been to Poplar Square Dental two times, but so far so good! Everybody I've dealt with has been very nice. I was dragging my feet looking for a new dentist (I had to change because of retirement and getting different insurance) and I was disappointed to not be able to find not one dentist in my town that accepted UPMC For Life Medicare. That's pretty disappointing considering there is a UPMC Hospital five minutes from my house. Anyway, Dr Lewis and his crew are very personable and have a good sense of humor which are definite pluses for putting patients at ease. I definitely recommend them!“
