I thought just pull the tooth, get rid of the pain. Doesn't work like that if more than just pulling is needed. My Dentist referred me. Alfano Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery got me in fairly quick considering my issues. Dr Alfano's associate (Khalida Stanazai) is just a slip of a gal. Once she got me Numbed up, she got right to work. After a few tugs and twists, a joke, then pop it slid right out. At least it felt that easy to me, tho I think she may have used a cheater bar (mechanic term), LOL. Then more work began to place bone graft and sew things up. Excellent care and good nature she and her assistant were. They really made me feel I was in good hands, which I was.
I don’t usually leave reviews on FB but I hope it helps someone like me with anxiety about going to the dentist or an oral surgeon! I was referred to Dr. Alfano when the dentist found a cyst on an impacted wisdom tooth and I couldn't be happier this was the place I was sent to. Went for a consultation and the next day I had surgery. Dr. Alfano's confidence, politeness and demeanor made me instantly trust him. From the front desk, to the anesthesiologist, the surgeon and recovery nurse, I felt like they really cared about my well-being. They all just exude trustworthiness. I had never been under anesthesia so I was a bit anxious but the anesthesiologist was amazing! She was so reassuring and made me feel calm and at ease. I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed and after the first day, I wasn’t in any real pain. Instructions on after-care were made easy to understand. I've been to and called the office a few times (I’m sorry!) with some questions and they're always incredibly helpful and polite. I feel bad about it now but I even called after hours with a question and Dr. Alfano called back almost immediately. Definitely recommend.
