“To all my curly headed girls debating on whether or not to get that silk press: DO IT!!! I booked an appointment with Israel and expressed how nervous/anxious I was because of my salon trauma. I went over 6 years without straightening my hair because a Dominican blowout killed my curls and I had irreversible heat damage that I had to grow out. Israel was so understanding and treated my type 4A hair with a lot of care. I left feeling so beautiful and confident. My silk press lasted me 2 weeks! I waited until I washed my hair to leave a review in order to make sure my curls returned. My curls came back like nothing happened. This will be the only place I trust to properly take care of my hair and I will be coming back multiple times a year for a silk press. You know how when you go somewhere it feels like they are just forced to make small chat with you without wanting to talk to you lol well she def was not like that. She was very attentive , explained well, and even the shampoo and wash was to go back only for lol! She took her time with everything which was assuring, did the layers perfectly and the styling too! I did not want to wash my hair after that style and ruin it because it was just so perfect and never felt so good after getting a hair cut!

“I have to say that this is best nail salon I’ve ever been to because everyone was so kind, accommodating and professional. We tried a walk in at another place and they said not for 3 hours. At Pinkies and Toes we were greeted with friendly faces, they took my daughter first for her back to school nails and squeezed me in for my pedicure as well. Kayla and Sam were so wonderful we already booked our next appointments with them. I have to say that having just moved to this area and having Kayla so perfectly handle my daughter’s design requests and come up with alternative colors and fun options was amazing. And my pedicure with Sam was amazing. Also, the other clients being seen were kind, and every nail technician was absolutely sweet, welcoming and wonderful. We cannot wait to go back.“

Throughout the whole process she asked me many questions to make sure that I was completely satisfied with my services. Even down to the little details, by making sure the temperature when shampooing my hair was perfect. When having curly hair, it is difficult to go to a salon or a stylist that you can trust because they tend to always cut off more than you want. Mya made sure to double check with me multiple times before cutting the hair. I highly recommend Mya for coloring, haircuts, and updo hair services!“
