As someone who has been getting artificial nails for more than twenty years, believe me when I say Heather is thee best! I was first introduced to acrylic nails 💅🏼 when I was still in high school. I went to an established salon in Wilkes-Barre where I remained for years, through numerous nail techs. The ladies at this particular salon inspired me to go to cosmetology school in order to learn the art of acrylic nails. That’s another story though. I then followed a nail tech from there to her own salon. Unfortunately she didn’t keep up with the latest and greatest of the nail world and mediocre wasn’t an option for me. I then found myself at an ever-so-popular Vietnamese nail salon, sometimes waiting over three hours ⏰ as they didn’t take appointments, but leaving with some on-point nails (or so I thought). While my nails looked visually amazing, I later found, the hard way, that they were sculpted incorrectly. True story: I was trying to grab luggage off a carousel when the handle caught my nails the wrong way and literally ripped three of them off all the way into my nail bed. I held my hand up and blood was just pouring from my fingers. I was in excruciating pain. After that painful incident I found myself back at the salon where it all started with a very highly educated nail tech. I was content. Unfortunately the salon ended up closing their doors and I was forced to find someone new. I don’t remember how I found Heather, nor did I realize how much my nails needed her. I’ve never worn my nails as long as they are now (she calls them conservative length; my coworkers call them “I don’t have a job-nails” 😂) but due to Heather’s incredible sculpting skills, should I ever break a nail due to my own stupidity, it only breaks at the tip. Thanks to Heather, I now understand that this is what SHOULD happen to avoid damage to your real nail and nail bed. Another thing I’ve never done is pay this price for nails but, you know what, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! I’m a firm believer in that. Although Heather is the most talented nail artist I’ve ever encountered, nail art isn’t my thing and she’s okay with that. There’s never a time that I don’t go somewhere and somebody doesn’t comment on my nails. Yes, they look that amazing! You don’t have to take my word for it but if you’re dedicated to your nails the way that I am and understand how valuable an exceptional nail technician really is you need to at least give Heather a try. You won’t be disappointed.
