I received a small box sample of both the salt hay and the pine straw to try in my garden this summer. I applied salt hay to my raised vegetable garden, and to my surprise, despite the rain we had earlier in the season, I weeded much less than I have in the past, and the soil moisture was more consistent during the dry times. I applied pine straw to a hydrangea bed that has struggled due to its very sunny but protected location from rain. I have used leaf mulch in the past (which is excellent for improving the soil), but the long-lasting durability of the pine straw kept the moisture in the soil better, and the hydrangeas improved as a result.

It’s our third year working with Bill and team. We’ve received 25+ bales of pine straw and it’s awesome. Great curb appeal, no mess, birds love it and great for the soil. Picked up salt hay for the garden and flower beds this year. Only ask is to text us when pine straw was delivered so we could move cars. Other than that. Great service with earth friendly sustainable mulch. Thanks!
