Star Lance is a wonderful barn and BJ is an incredible trainer! I started here as an adult beginner 3 years ago and have received the best support and encouragement in my riding journey. BJ emphasizes well-rounded horsemanship and independence, which builds confidence both in the saddle and on the ground. The horses here are all very loved and well taken care of! I recommend this barn to anyone looking to become a compassionate, confident, well-rounded equestrian.

We have been with this location since 2016 and I honestly could not ask for a better place for my child to take lessons at and to keep our horses. The instructor does amazing with all types of children and fits their needs. Our daughter tends to have mental blocks and holds herself back and the trainer finds ways around it and helps redirect her a different way down the same path. Nothing but positive and encouraging to the kids over the years. She listens to the children on their wants and needs and addresses the situation properly. We have worked with Star Lance farms for a couple of years now. We appreciate how the trainer works with the kids and sets expectations for growth. The kids learn how to prepare the horses for lesson. They are not coddled, but they are praised when goals and expectations are met. We allow the trainer to do her job with inserting ourselves and disrupting - and we enjoy watching the kids' develop with her guidance.
