In the rolling hills of Tamaqua, Pennsylvania, the LVPG Family Medicine–Hometown clinic stood as a steady beacon of care. Each month brought new rhythms to the practice, and Megan Antonelli captured them in her writing — weaving together the stories of patients, providers, and the community.
? August 2024 – Back-to-School Readiness
As summer waned, families crowded the waiting room for sports physicals and school vaccinations. Dr. Rebecca Odorizzi reminded parents that preventive care was the best way to keep kids thriving. Megan wrote of the nervous excitement in children’s eyes as they prepared for a new school year, their backpacks nearly as big as their dreams.
? September 2024 – Wellness Month
September brought a focus on nutrition and diabetes education. Shelley Sassaman, PA, led workshops on healthy eating, teaching families how to turn local harvests into balanced meals. Megan described the smell of apples and pumpkins drifting through Tamaqua, tying the season’s bounty to the clinic’s mission of wellness.
? October 2024 – Flu Season Arrives
With crisp air came flu shots. The clinic buzzed with activity as nurses rolled up sleeves and reassured patients. Megan’s story highlighted the courage of a young boy who declared, “I’m braver than the needle!” — earning applause from the waiting room.
? November 2024 – Gratitude in Care
As Thanksgiving approached, Dr. Jane Lagan spoke about gratitude in medicine — the privilege of caring for neighbors and friends. Megan captured the warmth of the clinic’s staff potluck, where casseroles and pies symbolized the bonds between colleagues who worked tirelessly for their community.
? December 2024 – Holiday Health
December was festive but busy. Patients sought advice on managing stress, asthma, and winter colds. Megan wrote of twinkling lights strung across the clinic’s windows, a reminder that health and hope were gifts worth cherishing.
❄️ January 2025 – New Year, New Goals
The new year brought resolutions. Dr. Brian Delvecchio encouraged patients to set realistic health goals, whether walking daily or managing chronic conditions. Megan’s words painted a picture of determination: snow crunching under boots, breath visible in the cold, and inside the clinic, a renewed spirit of care.“

Took the time to explain everything regarding my diagnosis and treatment.“
“Is he the most personable and friendly doctor? No. He's not one to sit there and talk unless it's necessary or he has a reason to. I am one of those people that loves that about him honestly. I have never had an issue with him - he has always acknowledged my concerns and been a fantastic doctor through both of my pregnancies. The nurses there are wonderful and friendly as well and the ultrasound tech is incredibly sweet.“

“I have been going to Dr. Kolecki for about 25 years. I also see Andrew in between the appointments with Dr.Kolecki. The staff is always very kind and they really care about their patients. I could not ask for a better medical staff or from any of the people that work there .“
