About Natural Lands' Bryn Coed Preserve
Natural Lands' Bryn Coed Preserve is a beautiful spot for a longer hike, featuring 1505 acres of amazing landscapes, including rolling hills, meadows filled with wildflowers and butterflies, and incredible trees, such as a 400+ year old oak tree. With plenty of parking, visitors can choose from various well-marked trails, including the yellow loop and red trail, which offer varying levels of difficulty. The red trail is the most challenging, with dense forest and inclines, while the purple trails provide a mix of beginner and more advanced terrain. The preserve is well-maintained by wonderful volunteers and has excellent signage, along with a helpful app that provides a short synopsis of the preserve, mileage, and a tracker. Visitors can explore stunning views and miles of trails through open fields and woods, making it a great destination for those looking to hike more than 5 miles. Although some visitors have noted the absence of trash receptacles, Bryn Coed Preserve remains a gem worth exploring in every season, especially in the Fall and Spring.
