The Practice of Pediatrics

We transferred here from another practice. From the beginning at my sons 2 month appointment I told Dr. Grossberg that I would be doing a delayed vaccine schedule and that at his appointment that day I didn’t want any (my son was a preemie so his adjusted age is only 1month at this point). I felt giving him 4-6 vaccines was too much for his body being that he’s so young. He tried telling me it was silly but he never said anything else. When my son was three months he needed an antibiotic and again nothing was said by the doctor about shots. When I came for my sons 4 month check up he waited until 20 minutes after my appointment time to say if we weren’t vaccinating “it wouldn’t fly” and to find someone else. I’m really upset he couldn’t have covered that in a phone call beforehand, that he has no paperwork to sign saying that’s a reason for discharge, and that he doesn’t allow delayed schedules.

Literally just left Dr. Grossberg’s office & I am so glad I made this change!! I changed pediatricians because I was tired of feeling like a number at very high volume patient facility, but here, here is right where I should have been all along! It’s unfortunate I didn’t know about him sooner. I appreciate the simple fact his staff knew my sons name the minute I walked in. I’m happy my children can now experience a doctor that genuinely cares about them and the concerns I have! Well done Practice of Pediatrics 👏🏼
