“Before Alison - Taking Yaeger anywhere out of the house (walks, pet store, anywhere new) or having new people come to the house was extremely stress inducing, embarrassing, and scary. I could not handle him on a leash by myself and even my boyfriend had a hard time getting him under control. Yaeger didn’t listen to either of us and would trample over me and completely ignore me. Yaeger would not let any strangers approach us (human or dogs) and would lunge, bark, and growl. He never had a traumatic experience so we weren’t sure why this behavior suddenly came up.After Alison - I can now easily walk Yaeger on a leash, through the outlets on the most crowded day. He doesn’t bark at strangers or growl/lunge at them. He now goes to daycare with Allison and plays with the other dogs there and her staff. We can take him into the pet store and walk him around calmly and enjoy ourselves. It was a full year of work, but oh so worth it. Alison helped us from day 1 and has helped us ever since. You not only get help for the duration of training, but a friend forever. I didn’t think I could love my dog anymore than I did before training, but man do I love him 100000x more now. We have a great connection and he is just overall more calm and relaxed. We get compliments from strangers about how well behaved he is. He still protects his mommy, but does it in a much quieter less stressful way and gives people/dogs a chance first. If I could give Allison a million stars I would ❤️Update almost 2 years post training:Yaeger has now been in daycare at K-9 Cottage since last summer! He’s been doing great with new people and dogs (which we could never go near new people/dogs before) and we see improvements STILL!! Just yesterday I had the realization that I can now get Yaeger to stop barking at people walking by the house with commands only! Before training (and even just last year) I would have to actually move him from the windows and he would still be barking! K-9 Cottage is 100% worth it. It not only allows me to get work done during the day (I work from home) but it also helps him from being bored all day!“
