I have been going to the Eye Consultants in Blandon for years. After my terrible experience this morning I called the Wyomissing office and scheduled my new appointment for next Tuesday. The front desk at the Blandon office was extremely rude and not helpful at all. She told me I didn't have coverage, when in fact I do. They looked me right up on the phone right away at the Wyomissing office and saw it immediately. I would never go back to that office again!!

The optometrist was excellent and provided a thorough exam. Ladies at the front desk were very kind/ friendly. Overall great experience...My issue is, I had an exam for both contacts and glasses. I have insurance that covers a good chunk of the exams, glasses, contacts. After my exam, I received a copy of my eyeglasses prescription and the contacts had to be ordered. They will be a trial pair and I will have to go back after wearing the lenses, etc.Not sure why I was charged $145 (supposedly for the contacts and follow up visit)? So I had to prepay for lenses that I might not be able to wear and won't have for several weeks, and the follow up appointment for 1 month... read full review

The staff are great but they close the office randomly. Not even the courtesy to put a sign on the door. Do business hours mean anything anymore? I've wasted 3 hours and $20 in gas trying to pick up a pair of glasses over the last two weeks but they're always closed while the website says they're open 9-5. I understand ____ happens and sometimes you gotta make do but at least put up a sign explaining when you expect to get back to your posted hours. On top of the premium you pay for professionally fitted glasses, having time and gas money wasted like this is unacceptable.
