I have had them do two projects for me in the past five years, a large exterior remodel to turn an older detached garage into a beautiful outdoor entertainment space, add a deck with a side patio onto my house, and replace the front porch decking and rails after finding my ‘new’ porch was rotting.

This year they took on my attic. A simple project to take a 100+-year-old attic and upgrade the loose and incomplete floor that was hidden under 50+ year-old repurposed rugs to a vinyl planking and closed in the side walls. I just wanted it ‘not gross’ anymore and it is beautiful! They even put down plastic each day to protect my kitchen floor and carpeting as they went in and out. They sweat the details.

They use skilled professionals, not per diem labor, and take pride in the work with their name on it.

You hear so many horror stories about contractors not finishing, poor quality, questionable workers, not showing up, etc. None of these apply to them.

I cannot say enough good things about them. Five years after my deck was done, I still get compliments on how beautiful it is!

“In fairness, I should disclose that I have only visited the store to browse, and haven't used their interior design service yet. But keeping that in mind... The store is very cute - a small size, but with a lot of options for finishing your house. I initially went in because I am refinishing some funiture and in the market for unique knobs and pulls for the drawers - through the window of this store I noticed they had TONS of options ... not only are there perhaps 6 pillars full of knobs and pulls and handles, there are various boards with different selections located all around the store. Even though I haven't even begun thinking about refinishing cabinets and countertops in my newly-purchased house yet, I couldn't help but browse their selection. House Splendid has a great collection of quality countertops and cabinetry, and I picked up several pamphlets. To top it all off, the owner, Lia, is very sweet and welcoming - she makes sure to say hi and is available for any questions, but she also lets you browse in peace. I will definitely return to this store for my home finishing needs.“
