“I have been suffering from back pain related to a sports injury. This created a lot of muscle tension and stiffness on a daily basis.

Amarkaur pointed out that I had hip misalignment and took her time to pinpoint where the pain was by manually pressing into my muscles for feedback. “I was seriously compromised by an injury when I began treatment. One specialty at WGA is Sports Acupuncture and reviews indicated success with injuries. At first I alternated physical therapy and acupuncture, one session each week, providing time for my body to adjust after each session. After several months I dropped the physical therapy and continued with acupuncture -- which seemed to offer much more improvement in motion and comfort per visit. When Whitney went on maternity leave, I switched to Laura. Needle placement remains mysterious to me, but they often found places that worked wonders. “I was super nervous to try acupuncture for the first time. I thought I would be commanded to lay on a bed of 1000 needles, as seen from the cartoons I’ve watched. But Lori was incredibly calming and talked about exactly what she would do beforehand. She only used a small handful of needles that were strategically placed, and although I remained doubtful as to the benefits of sitting for 30 minutes with needles in my body, I was amazed at the results. These results were not necessarily seen immediately upon leaving, but were noticed for the next 48 hours after my appointment.
