I've been taking guitar lessons from Tim for over 6 months and I couldn't be happier. Tim is incredibly knowledgeable and a great instructor. He's patient and understanding. I was nervous trying something new but Tim has made this experience so much fun and I look forward to continuing my lessons.

I’ve been taking banjo lessons from Tim Mackey at Tigard String Studio for two months.Tim clearly has the talent and the professional expertise with multiple instruments. His knowledge and skill combined with his personalized teaching, encouragement and abundant patience make for a very positive learning experience. While I’m an absolute beginner, I’m making significant progress in a short amount of time due to Tim’s coaching.I am extremely appreciative of his instruction.

I've been taking mandolin lessons from Tim for about four months now and and he is just the best! He's incredibly knowledgeable and patient, he's taught me so much. Not only is he teaching me to play, but he is teaching the music theory as well. Taking lessons from him is a pleasure and I look forward to seeing my progress in the months to come.
