Mail-ordered 5 pounds of elephant garlic. Prices were unbeatable (just over $11 a pound), so I was a little concerned, but the garlic arrived on time, packaged well, cloves were visually healthy and 99% huge (proper size for seed-saving, with just a couple duds that we'll eat or maybe plant for single-clove rounds), and I received just a hair over the 5 pounds I paid for. For those new to growing garlic, they included an informative guide for planting, tending, harvesting, and curing, and also a fun little pamphlet on the history of elephant garlic. Overall an extremely positive experience.
Extremely affordable seeds. Varieties bred by local breeders. Their seeds out perform all others in the Willamette Valley. I now grow closer to the coast and am still getting better results from their seeds than any others.
We live in NH and have bought seeds for many firms for decades, yet we get the majority of our seeds from Nichols because seed quantity per packet is generally greater, there is no plastic packaging and we can obtain a few Asian varieties we like from readily; they aren't sold out. Five stst for sure.
