I just had my first massage with Imuya in Anacortes, at the *wonderful* new Holding Space cooperative. I am thrilled to find a new awesome massage therapist in Anacortes - who takes insurance! Imuya was incredibly present and kind. She really listened to my needs and offered incredible bodywork. I feel so much better and can't wait to reschedule - and refer my friends. Thank you Imuya!!

Before I started going to Imuya, I was juggling an acupuncturist, a chiropractor, and a different masseuse in town. As a previous horseback rider, my body has a lot of trauma. Iumya knows what she is doing and she has a passion for it, (it's fun to geek out with her over how fascinating and amazing the body is). I ended up switching only to her, she gets my body and the trauma it has had better than anyone I've ever worked with in the past. Imuya is an absolute doll! I had received my first massage in 5 years from her, as well as my first prenatal massage, and the experience couldn't have been better. You can definitely tell she takes the time to really try to get to know what you need through verbal communication, but once she places her hands on you, she can feel every bit of tightness or tension in your body, and what needs releasing. That's a skill not easily acquired, and I have had some therapists not do either of those things very well. I will likely be a regular client of hers, and I am so excited that a friend helped me stumble upon her.
