Highly educated and very curious. Not afraid to learn new things and learn from others. Does his research and really gives every ailment a fresh eye not always resorting to what was done for years. We have jumping horses. First an older mare now a young spunky gelding. Rick understands issues of all different types of performance and age and approaches the cost benefit of treatments and the horses well-being first. High moral compass in what he does.
Trustworthy and kind. Richard and his team are truly fantastic. A delight to communicate with, reliable in times of crisis or even just routine care. I am fortunate to be a client of theirs. Better yet, all of my horses adore them.
Dr McMillan is an amazing vet. He did an emergency call for my horse Sweet Pea. I knew his fetlock's were getting worse. He came out and was very honest about his condition. He even contacted my vet to let her know his status.
