Fabulous experience here. I've been twice to have my brows waxed and shaped, and MJ has always done an amazing job. I have gone to other places in the past that are part of larger chains (that shall remain nameless) and my experience has been "less than stellar" to say the least. I now only trust MJ. Yes, you have to book her out several weeks in advance. But that should tell you something right there. And trust me, she's worth it.

Marisa is a gem! I found her at a previous salon when I first moved to portland 3.5 years ago. When she left, I searched the interwebz extensively until I finally found where she moved to- Waxing by MJ. Her salon is cute, quiet and relaxing. She makes you feel comfortable even when waxing more intimate areas. She is detail oriented so her waxing is comprehensive, and honestly out of the 25 years I've been waxing she's the least painful wax I've ever had. I love how she shapes my brows and one of these days will get some of her beautiful lashes done. She's not just a skilled esthetician, she's also a lovely human. You just can't go wrong with that combo!
