We recently moved from Phoenix. We met Abby at a cafe locally, and she gave me her card. Super genuine and sincere, so I set a cut/style with her. This is literally the first time in at least two years I can say I love my hair and didn't need to take scissors to it after my cut! She listened to me, and it is exactly what I asked for! So excited to have found 'my hair gal!' We went to a play tonight and two random strangers say to me, 'You have great hair'. Haha. At almost 60, I will take that!
First off look at my before photo. What a mess that was. The length was about 2 inches above my waistline, very, very frizzy, thinning at light speed. I went in on a whim and asked if they had any openings that day. Lara came to the desk and said she was sorry, but they didn't have any, but she had an opening the following day at 9:00 a.m. I gladly accepted the day and time. I went in and spoke with Lara, she's super friendly and nice. She led me back to her chair with my pup in tow. I showed her a photo of a hairstyle I really liked, but was afraid the cut wouldn't look good because of my frizz and thinning hair. She was very honest and said that'd it'd work great with my wavy hair, the right product would help tame the frizz and would also compliment my thinning hair. She took me and my pup to wash my hair. My pup laid on my chest(as I taught her to do), however she didn't care much for the washing part, she doesn't care much for water or baths lol. Lara walked us back to her chair and cut away my mop. Man it looked like a rats nest at the end and I was glad to get rid of all that hair. I didn't want her to style it because I wanted to see what it looked like dry. My pup may have been mad at the dryer anyway, but Lara did an amazing job. She got the cut exactly as the picture I showed her. It doesn't look exactly as the photo because the model and I have different hair types, but the cuts were exactly spot on. Lara's not only a sweetheart, but also a great therapist(as most stylists are lol), she's also a great stylist, has an eye for detail and knows her products. The one she recommended to me works perfectly, it adds definition to my wavy hair, knocks my frizz out for the most part and keeps it at bay. I'll definitely be going back to Boudica Salon and Spa and only requesting Lara. I highly recommend Boudica and Lara.
I walked in with my little pup who’s a service dog in training on 8-2-2023 and asked if anyone had any openings yesterday. Lara is the one who helped me and told me she has an opening today, 8-3-2023 at 9:00 a.m. I was super excited to go in this morning. She washed and conditioned my hair, put a towel over it and walked me to her chair. She’s really nice. I showed her a photo of the haircut I wanted, asked her if she thought I’d look good still with frizzy hair. She said it’d still look cute. I held my pup through the wash and haircut as my pups super laidback. The prices of the haircut and product were very reasonable. Lara, (like sara without the s) was fantastic...read full review
