Alpine Veterinary Hospital is a full-service veterinary medical facility in the Hood River area, dedicated to providing the best medical care for pets. The highly trained veterinarians and staff are known for their efficiency, competence, and friendliness. Clients appreciate the compassionate care given to their animals, whether for routine visits or during difficult times. One reviewer highlighted the exceptional kindness of Dr. Zach, who not only cares for pets but also supports their families through challenging moments. The hospital's thoughtful approach is evident in their actions, including home visits for euthanasia and sending heartfelt condolence cards to grieving pet owners. The staff was great and Dr. Mike Foss went far and beyond to help with an emergency. Dr Rachel Foss called and clearly explained what she did and also what the post-op plan was. She was articulate and very helpful. The staff was super helpful, friendly and understanding. Dr Michael Foss even called in the eve after a farm call. Alpine Veterinary Hospital has become a trusted choice for pet owners in the community.
In the ten years I've had my current dogs, I have never met a veterinarian who has left an impression on me the way Dr. Zachary has.
I've also spent years working in the pet industry, which has given me the opportunity to work alongside and learn from some of the most respected veterinarians in the country. Because of that, I don't make this statement lightly: Dr. Zachary is the most exceptional vetrinarian I've ever encountered.
He has now cared for both of our dogs, Ru and Chleo, and the level of compassion, expertise, and genuine investment he brings to every interaction is unlike anything we've experienced. You can tell immediately that this isn't just a profession… read full review

I was taking my dogs to another vet in town and unfortunately they weren’t taken care of at the other vet properly. Had to bring both dogs to alpine and they have saved my dogs life. Dr Michael and Dr Zach are amazing people who actually care about their patients. I highly recommend this vet. Everyone in this clinic are amazing and caring.
