I have been there many times. I have had granddaughters who have studied MA and competed in tournaments there. None of us have come away with ringworm. And yes, there is dust and dirt on the floor brought in every day by those entering the building, so when a kick lands, it will likely have the dust and dirt brought in from outside, but a lot less dust and dirt than one would pick up at park or a playground.
I have MS and am very grateful for the Just For You classes I had been taking. It's a modified Tai Chi that was developed to help prevent fall and retrain the body to stand, sit, and move correctly. The instructors are great at explaining each detail of the movements and why we need to do it in the way they are instructing us. There are healthy, informative conversation between the students and the instructors regarding specific issues the students are having outside of class regarding falling and moving safely. I come out of each class feeling like I learned something useful to help keep me moving more safely.
