Ashland Greenhouses grows 100% of the plants it sells, selected to thrive in the unique local climate. It is open to the public, serving individual gardeners, landscapers, and businesses, and also ships wholesale orders. The nursery is a place to purchase region-specific plant starts and a tourist attraction to explore. It offers flowering annuals, vegetable starts, perennials, herbs, hanging baskets, and beautiful poinsettias in many colors, with a Poinsettia Festival in December. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, providing helpful suggestions and recommendations. They offer healthy, first-rate plants and provide convenient service, accepting orders by phone for pickup.
I was happy I was able able to pick up some annual florals to fill in my garden before the weather turns. After I made my purchase, I was invited to look behind a couple of closed doors, which housed two greenhouses FULL of beautiful poinsettias. Yellow, burgundy, hot pink, white... waves of poinsettias in colors I've not seen before.The flowers will be for sale later this month. Also! Healthy plants, really helpful people. They are helping us thru this deadly pandemic by accepting CC's over the phone and putting our order out for pickup without going inside the greenhouse. This is my third year using these folks and all their plants are first-rate healthy.
