One of the worst agencies I have ever contacted! I simply asked them if they had any positions currently available (of course I don’t want to waste my time if they have no work available) and they messaged be back that they already told me over the phone (they didn’t) and if I’m expecting something immediately to not bother signing up. So they obviously are taking peoples info for no reason. Not worth your time!

North Star Employment is a very disreputable, underhanded and dishonest agency.North Star Employment Agency policy is to pay you on the second week of employment for the first week so you are always behind a pay period. A coworker had to fight tooth and nail to get her pay owed to her upon termination. She was one of the lucky ones that did receive her back pay. I am still fighting for mine and North Star is adamant that they don’t owe me anything even though I have a text from them advising I will receive my pay.until present I have yet to receive said paycheque.Whenever I call to get what’s owed to me they are very condescending, yell and advised they will call the police. That threat does not work on me and I informed them to go ahead since they would be the ones in trouble.The agency puts you on hold or abruptly disconnects the phone. I was advised to stop calling because they are not going to answer my call. I had to use a friends phone just to get through to this agency.I know of many coworkers who are in the same predicament with North Star and they just gave up fighting. Working for this company you have to be aware or you will be operating at a loss.I have sent them proof that I am not the only one they scammed from other coworkers and they just boldly deny any wrongdoing. They are very dubious, agency tells you that you are to be paid every week and neglects to tell you that you won’t be paid until the following week for your first week. Senior coworkers with the agency informed of procedures. This agency is very shady and I will not be duped, swindled or tricked out of my pay. I will go to the media next to shed light on how this fraudulent agency works. It will be a pretty interesting and factual newsworthy report.
