“Perfection. OCD. Reassurance. This is what you will receive from Chris and his team. I’m probably one of the worst client any detail shop or body shop wants to meet due to my pickiness. Not in a bad way, I just chase perfection and have been for all my vehicles equally. Just as everything with life, you live and you learn and for me, that was many expensive lessons of going to various shops for various detail/paint services and I always paid top dollar but didn’t get the fulfillment of perfection I was promised. Due to these experiences even Chris can attest to this, at first I was very skeptical with everything, not regarding Chris, but just skeptical with trusting one of my cars with someone and was afraid of disappointment once again.
I visited Chris based off everyone’s testimony via google reviews and tonnes of various car forums. When I contacted him on the phone initially, one thing I appreciated the most was it was the owner himself, Chris answering. That showed me he’s on sight at work and on the phone, that alone showed his passion as I discovered throughout our 15 mins phone call. I had explained to Chris I’d be coming from a 6 year business relationship with a different paint detailer and the reason I’m contacting him is because my former detailer was not showing the same craft he once did, but also my expectations have elevated. He ended up burning through paint on one of my golden egg vehicles panels while he was performing a stage 3 paint correction. The panels affected were the targa top and hood. Every body panel was original paint, vehicle is a ‘97 Honda Del Sol VTEC is Cypress Green Pearl. It being a pearl paint colour I was super skeptical on paint match etc and my key thing was to keep as much original paint as I can. My usual bodyshop guy said he’d need to paint the whole front clip for perfection. I showed Chris and from the jump he was sooo confident in his painters paint match skills and also he was confident in finishing off the paint correction and preparing my car’s paint to her former glory.
When I came to pick up the car, all I can say is Chris and the team did not disappoint. He’s earned a client for life from me. Finally someone who understands the craft and is really passionate about it. I especially appreciated him going over the paint cards with me to agree on a paint shade before painting.
