On a long distance trip, we pulled into Payne's Auto because our car smelled like burning rubber. Jim went out of his way to diagnose the problem and discovered it was a leak in our oil filter. We didn't have much oil left when Jim and his mechanic changed it and did an oil change. Jim was honest and friendly and gave us a fair price. He essentially saved us thousands on a new engine.

What an incredibly positive experience we had at Payne’s Auto. While on a 8 day camping trip from Southern Ontario to Quetico, we had a sudden and critical issue with the hitch on our camper on day 3. We pulled in unannounced and were met with such a willingness to help from everyone there. They dropped what they were doing to help us. When they didn’t have what we needed, they made a phone call & someone in this small town had it and brought it over. We were safely on our way again. It was a place full of really good & genuine humans. We feel grateful to have landed here and would 100% recommend Payne’s Auto to any traveller in mechanical need.
