About Value Village
Value Village is a global thrift retailer known for offering gently used clothing, accessories, and household goods. While shoppers can find unique items not available at other locations, some customers feel that prices have increased significantly over the years, making it less accessible for those in need. The store features self-checkout options, but there have been reports of issues, such as machines crashing and long lines due to limited open counters. Customer service experiences vary, with some staff members being friendly and enthusiastic, while others appear less engaged. The store layout is bright and cheerful, with staff regularly checking that racks stay neat, providing good service. Customers appreciate finding deals and sometimes compare prices online to avoid overcharges, especially on items like dollarama products. Overall, Value Village offers a range of used goods but may not meet the expectations of all shoppers due to pricing and service inconsistencies.

It's a good corporation, I've shopped at Value Village stores throughout the US. The only Value Village stores I've shopped at in Canada is this Oshawa store and the Whitby one. I'd have to say my only issue with this one particular Value Village in Oshawa, is that they tend to be highly suspicious of their paying customers. If you are a younger person or even middle-aged, you can guarantee if you linger too long in aisle, you'll have a pair of eyes on you shortly. Likewise, checking out. They'll stand directly behind you to make sure you're paying. I'm not so sure that...read full review
