About LA Fitness
LA Fitness is a gym with a large and well-maintained facility, offering a variety of equipment to suit different needs. The gym features a pool, hot tub, basketball court, dance studio, and indoor track. While it can be busy at certain times, members can usually access the machines they want within a short wait. However, some staff members may not provide the best customer service, being rude and impatient. There are concerns about gym etiquette, as weights are often not put away properly. It can be frustrating to find weights when needed. Still, the gym itself has all the equipment one could want, and it has a good size pool and hot tub. Some staff members are friendly and helpful, with one sales representative recognized for her outstanding customer service. Overall, LA Fitness is a good gym for both beginners and experienced gym-goers, with some staff being courteous and friendly.
I want to recognize Katie at the front desk. My family and I have been members since around 2019, and once Katie started, the entire morning atmosphere noticeably improved. She is consistently professional, calm, and dependable, and I have personally seen her de-escalate difficult situations with maturity and confidence during busy times.
She brings stability and positivity to a high-pressure role and clearly operates at a level beyond basic front desk duties. She represents the gym extremely well and should be valued as someone who contributes to member retention and overall experience.
My first ever gym, it was everything I needed at the time but as I got my advanced I wanted to use different equipment. It also became so busy to the point where I would have to wait up to 20 minutes for a bench press. Unfortunately I had also had my lock cut and wallet stolen and since they have no security cameras there was nothing I could do. I finally left after newer people were getting better membership deals then I was that included bring a friend for less money then I was paying. I asked if there was some kind of loyalty transfer to the new plan but they said I would have to cancel my membership and pay the initiation fee again if I wanted that plan. Daniel was fantastic at dealing with my sign up, making sure I was informed about my options and costs. The facility is nice, it has everything you need but you also want to make sure you understand what you’re getting for a value perspective for you and your family. I initially signed up for myself but Daniel had also asked me about my family and because of that I knew there was a cost effective way to get my fiance at the same gym as well. He was low pressure and was making sure he fit my families needs. I wouldn’t recommend dealing with anyone but this young man.
