“As a retired couple who want to stay in our two-story home, we searched for a builder who could convert our attached garage into a main floor bedroom suite. We were fortunate to find Birch Lane Builders, who proved to have exactly the approach and the expertise we needed to bring our project to completion. Working with Paul Jackson was a joy throughout the entire process. He met with us on numerous occasions to work out a project plan that met our needs at a cost that we felt comfortable with. We were impressed with his thorough approach to this stage, and the patience he showed as we winnowed our needs and wants to a workable plan. He very quickly understood what we required, and supported us to make choices that ensured our needs would be met. The subcontractors that Paul brought in to advance the planning were also very easy to work with. When actual work started we anticipated disruption in our day-to-day routines; we had past experience living through renovations, and had some trepidation. As it turned out, the disruption was far less stressful than we imagined thanks to the two builders who worked on the project. Zach and Dillon were always courteous and thoughtful, trying as much as possible to be non-invasive. We were impressed with the skill and creativity they bring to their craft. When they were on the job they always got a lot done every day, so we could easily see the progress and feel assured that the end result would be high quality. We enjoyed our interactions with them both, and when the job ended we were a bit sad to say good-bye. Now that our project is finished, we are proud to give friends and family the \\\"grand tour,\\\" and look forward to years of comfortable living in our new space.
