I designed a table top in a CAD program and sent the file to Derrick at the WoodSource for a quote on a 1.5 inch thick solid walnut top CNC'd to my design specs including finishing, he replied promptly and I went ahead with my order.
The table top turned out better than I had hoped. Thanks to the helpful and knowledgeable staff at the WoodSource I was able to bring my idea to life!

Amazing place to shop or work. I have done both. The staff are very knowledgeable and well trained. The selection is endless, and owners, Tim Priddle and family, go above and beyond to help. They're also involved with helping the community by donating time and materials to help build and develop Ottawa. They also help the less fortunate by donating to the Ottawa mission and building in countries that are in need. If you need wood and accessories, this is the place. If you don't, stop by anyway. They will be glad to show you around.

Look, I like the store and the staff. All great people. But the prices unfortunately have gone insane. Over the last 4 years a pine 2x4 has increased in price over 82%. I get there is inflation, but that's ridiculous
Edit to reflect, upon further investigation, the prices do seem to be market motivated. My bad!
