Recently learned that George formally from Hudson's Bay was working here and had him change a watch battery. The price was great and the job was quick. Will be returning when needed for batteries and will be purchasing some jewelry as well.
Edit: The owner said the gem is aquamarine. It has a green tone when viewed at a different angle with a direct and bright light source. I know for the price I can't expect much nor be too obsessed. I just hope it is not glass, plastic or cubic zirconia. May have to bribe somebody with it. Real zircon is fine.
(see photo) It is really small, difficult to inspect without scientific tools. I liked the colour though, I work with glass and synthetic zircon beads, their colours tend to be a bit off, especially inconsistent from batch to batch. It may be hard in the manufacturing process to make the exact colour. High immitation may not worth the effort.
