“It started with a quote request. Matt Desveaux showed up at the house, looked at the roof, and I explained to him the sequence of events with ice damming issues, insurance problems, sky high quotes from other roofing companies that wanted to remove and reshingle one section that was over the bathroom. Then install the electric heated wiring to melt the ice. Matt took his time to evaluate all the information I shared...he said there's nothing wrong with that section of your roof, did they look at you vent stack. I told him I kept telling other contractors that was probably the issue, Matt said it definitely is. When others wouldn't even come inside the house to look at the area in the bathroom that was leaking, he gladly did, and it confirmed that the leak was coming from there. FINALLY! Matt then looked all around the house. Highly recommend installing gutter guards, which will solve most of the ice damming, with preventive measures from clogged gutters. I was sold. We were going to book for mid August.
My insurance company decided to cancel my renewal stating that I refused to repair the damages, even telling them I have a contract they wouldn't change their decision. I scrambled to get quotes, but all the work now had to be done before the 28 july 2026, and invoices had to prove work completed. Matt knew this was stressing me out. He managed to get a cew together and they will be her tomorrow to get the work completed, giving me a few days to meet my deadline.
