“My husband and I felt at home with Dr.Given and Louanne ever since our first visit.

For four years in my early twenties, I didn’t know that I was slowly injuring my back and hips because of a business I was putting my heart and soul into. When I decided to settle down and start a family, my pain and imbalances quickly caught up to me and worsened during my pregnancies, especially after I gave birth to my two sons in under two years via c-section. I was told by family, society and even doctors that because I am so young the pain will pass, that this is just what ‘aging’ is like and being pregnant and giving birth ‘just has that affect’ on a woman’s body. But my intuition kept telling me that everything I was feeling was far from normal.

I found Dr.Given through an Instagram ad and thought to send over an email. During my assessment, specifically when he went over my x-rays, he told me about every single pain point I had and empathized with suffering that I didn’t even tell him too much about. I couldn’t help but cry because for the first time in years, someone actually understood me. My treatment plan and the healing process was thoroughly explained, and my husband and I even took a class with him where we learned even more.

After my first adjustment, I immediately felt a difference though it was small. For someone who only knew tension and imbalance for years, that slight relief was very noticeable. My husband and I get adjusted in the early mornings before he goes to work and we take our two boys with us. The appointments are quick, which as busy parents, we love! Haha. However, though they are quick, Dr.Given is always highly focussed and provides care intentionally and kindly. Louanne also goes out of her way to make sure we are well taken care of administratively. Also, our sons LOVE the dog.

We will be getting our 7 month old and 2 year old assessed and adjusted with Dr.Given as he specializes in paediatric and infant chiropractic care. I can only imagine how all the tugging and pulling that the nurses and doctors did during their birth, affected their spines. I also wish I got adjusted when I was pregnant or even before since he also specializes in maternity care. If we ever have a third child, I’ll definitely be doing so.
