Patients appreciate the ease of scheduling appointments and phone consultations. However, there have been mixed experiences, particularly with Dr. Banik, who faced criticism for her diagnostic skills. Despite this, many patients value the approachable and knowledgeable nature of the staff, making Seaway Medical a reliable choice for healthcare needs.
Dr. Yao’s office NEVER answers their phone so don’t bother even trying🙄 been trying everyday for 2 months now just for them to fix the X-ray req they gave me, nobody ever answers!
Dr Banik refused to help me with ODSP even though she has known my struggles for years. She simply doesn’t care, and she ignored my psychologist. All Banik does is lie, waste time, and talks condescendingly towards me. She is ignorant and extremely incompetent. She is judgemental and unprofessional. She abandoned me after not even knowing me for two years. Nothing that she did ever helped. She is a useless person and very toxic. She refused to prescribe me medication that was proven to work for me in the past. She prefers for me to take the garbage that gives me plenty of side effects or that make me feel worse. She probably wants me to end it all secretly.

I am shocked and deeply concerned by the treatment received when calling this clinic. My son contacted them seeking help for what is believed to be an urgent medical issue. The receptionist refused to properly listen, took it upon herself to decide that his situation was “not urgent,” and then abruptly hung up on him.
This is not just poor customer service it is completely inappropriate and potentially dangerous in a healthcare setting. Reception staff are not qualified to dismiss medical concerns without proper triage, yet that is exactly what happened. He was denied the opportunity to explain himself and was given no guidance or assistance.
