About Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory
The Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory offers visitors an immersive experience with thousands of free-flying butterflies in a 10,000-square-foot indoor tropical garden. The conservatory showcases a variety of tropical plants, birds, and animals, along with several water features. Visitors can witness the process of butterflies emerging from their chrysalis, explore the mounted and live-insect galleries, and enjoy the on-site café and gift shop. The conservatory is an enchanting place for both children and adults, with an average visit duration of 2.5 hours. Timed tickets are recommended, and it's best to purchase them in advance. The indoor environment is warm and humid, so visitors are advised to dress in layers and bring water. The conservatory also features a new insect-themed playground, open during the Spring and Summer seasons. Visitors have described the experience as "lovely" and "fantastic," praising the interactive and educational nature of the conservatory. The team is known for being cheerful and engaging, and the café and gift shop add to the overall experience. Guests are encouraged to take their time, appreciate the beauty of the butterflies and other creatures, and share their experiences to inspire a love for nature.
Yes we had a wonderful time, the place was packaged but over all awesome. We did witness people grabbing at the butterflies even when we informed them to leave them alone. Will return again as this must have been one of several times already.
Wonderful experience every time we visit. The staff are so knowledgeable and very interactive with the visitors. My daughter was so happy to have a Blue Morpho land on her. Everyone was warm and welcoming. Every time we come to visit family we will always make a stop here.
What a great place to visit with the grandkids .
