We have had such a positive experience with Royalty Care Home Services, and I can’t say enough about the level of care and compassion they provide. Royalty offers an incredibly wide range of support — from personal home care and transportation to appointments, to reading faith-based literature, companionship, and professional services like foot care. Their scope of care is truly extensive, and it’s clear they are committed to meeting people where they are, both physically and emotionally. We have personally used Royalty for my husband’s foot care, and the experience has been outstanding. They are responsive, professional, and genuinely caring, with a bedside manner that immediately puts you at ease. You never feel rushed, and it’s obvious that dignity and respect are at the heart of everything they do. I don’t even know where to start this post, I want to start by saying a huge thank you to Royalty Care for everything they did for my Oma (Dianne) over the past 2 and a half years. My Oma was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2019. In the early part of 2020, she moved from her home in Oro Medonte to a small bungalow in Sandy Cove Acres in Innisfil. After she had settled into her new home, she started to find the time lonely and the days long by herself. That’s when my mom began to investigate options for a care company that would be a companion for my Oma but also grow with her as her needs changed throughout the progression of her disease. Right from the beginning stages Royalty Care was amazing to deal with, they answered all the questions we had and were great with communicating with how this would work. We hired them and they helped find a lovely lady that would be a companion for my Oma as well as worked on making sure that each lady that came to spend time with Oma was the best fit possible. At the beginning one of the lovely ladies would come twice a week for a couple hours to spend time with Oma, they would work on puzzles together, do baking and other activities like go on walks during nice weather. As Oma’s needs changed due to the disease, Royalty Care was there every step of the way to make this transition as smooth as possible for my Parents and I. They worked on adding shifts to be there more than just twice a week, they were able to support everyday care and they worked on incorporating two shifts a day. The lovely ladies in the morning would help with taking medication, getting breakfast, talk to her daughter in Costa Rica on Facetime daily as well as preparing lunch prior to the end of their shifts. They would come back in the evening to assist with dinner, medication, showering and tucking into bed. This past December my Oma made her final transition into long term care, where Royalty Care worked with us again. At first, they were coming into the long-term care facility as just a companion as Oma had become so used to seeing her lovely ladies on a regular basis, this helped her transition go smoothly as her routine stayed the same. Then Oma’s needs changed, and she needed assistance with eating dinner, where Royalty Care worked with us again to have someone there every night to assist with dinner. Over the last 2 and a half years Royalty Care and their amazing ladies have been such a blessing in disguise to my Parents and me. There is no way that we would have been able to give Oma the level of care at home that we did without all their help. We would have not been able to support her and her needs in her own home as long as we did without them. They did not just support my Oma but also my parents and I, with open communication about changes they were seeing and different options of helping make Oma’s life easier. We would have been truly lost without every person that met our family and my Oma from Royalty Care, every one of them have truly touched our hearts in such a special way. I am so happy that for the last 2 and half years of my Oma’s life, it was filled with such caring, kind, and compassionate people that were also there to help her through each transition of her progression with Alzheimer’s.
