I undertook a major restoration of my 1950-era home a few months ago. One component of that restoration was to replace the aged and failing vinyl siding. I decided upon Hardie Boards after meeting with Steve (company owner). I needed a period correct appearance solution, which required special ordered material. I was also concerned about what would be found under the old siding which might lead to cost overruns. Steve assured me that his company would remove all the old siding, repair or replace whatever damage was found underneath, re-side the house in Hardie Boards, would paint the Hardie Boards, and repaint the rest of my exterior in the paints I specified.
