I started going to Dr. merchant a year ago and I have now had two visits and been very happy with everything. His staff are knowledgeable and friendly. He himself is very knowledgeable, quiet and has modern technology. I've never had an issue with having to reschedule or had a billing issue. I pay with my flexible spending account and go about my way. I cannot speak for his options on glasses or contacts due to not needing them but I see that he has a large variety.

Visiting his office for 3 years now. I have moderately dry eyes and Dr.Merchant has been testing my tear levels and eye cell levels ever since the diagnosis. He is very thorough and stays a breast to new technologies and medicines. You can ask questions and have a conversation with him without feeling rushed or talked down to. There are different receptionists depending on what time you go, some know more than others.

Dr Merchant is conveniently located. He is a good doctor and has wonderful staff. Before this week I would recommend him, now I am forever indebted to him. My 19 year old daughter went for her annual check up on Monday to get new contacts and glasses. During this exam he found a retina tear. It was almost hidden and could be easily missed. If he had missed it, it may have progressed to a retina detachment which can cause blindness. His office staff made my daughter an emergency appointment for a specialist the next day (Tuesday). He explained to my scared and bewildered daughter what had happened, why it had happened (because she is horribly nearsighted which puts her at greater risk), and answered her questions well. When my daughter told me what had happened she was very educated on what was going to happen at the specialist and could share this information due to the patience and education Dr Merchant provided. My daughter had laser eye surgery less than 24 hours after Dr Merchant found the problem and she is recovering well. We anticipate no long term issues thanks to Dr Merchant. Not only did Dr Merchant refer to an outstanding doctor, he made sure they took our insurance.
