This VA facility is very clean and new. Appointments are moderately easy to get, though you may have to wait for less serious issues. They are understaffed, as all VA facilities seem to be. You will have to wait to check in and the wait times to be seen are usually longer due to backed up appointments. I have waited as long as an hour to be seen, but the average wait time seems to be about 30 mins. The doctors and staff are hit or miss. You may get a good one, you may not. Community care is common, you will most likely be referred outside of the VA for specialty care.
This new facility is amazing. Great staff, efficient and clean. The VA is definitely making a positive turn around providing care to its veterans. I’m happy this has become my primary care.
I had a horrible time when I first got out of the Army...and ended up in Arkansas...Ft Smith to be exact...but a few years later...ended up in Tulsa...I've had some rough days..but never the less...I finally started to get my AO in order...lost files got found..symptoms were checked thoroughly...finally I was heard...I have nothing but good things to say about Earnest Childers VA in Tulsa Oklahoma...
