After 5 years of being severely underweight and malnourished due to a lot of health issues that were slowly killing me, my teeth got so bad and smiling is very important to me and my biggest fear is having teeth pulled. I went to four different dentists and self payed and two wanted to yank out a lot of teeth, one wanted to root canal them despite my severe autoimmune disease and it not being a good idea per my PCP, and one was insanely costly and wanted to pull the teeth or crown them. All berated me for not taking care of my teeth (I waterpik, brush with sonicare, floss, then mouthwash. Also only drink water and hate candy and sweets). My fiancé has seen Dr Bratton his whole life and once in the chair I thought for sure it would be another horrible experience. BUT after some scans and poking around his words were “your teeth are not bad and I can fill these easily. One tooth may hurt you after and we will tackle that if it happens.” So needless to say I found the dentist I trust (which I don’t trust easily at all!) I guess I need to start listening to my fiancé more 😜
