“I've suffered with hereditary headaches and migraines since I was a child. Luckily, when I was 19 I got a job as a chiropractor's assistant for over a year when I lived in TN. Working for Dr Tom is where I learned about all of the benefits of Chiropractic Care, and while I worked there I never suffered from a single headache or migraine, and any sinus and allergy problems I'd had previously never came up while I was working for him.
When I moved back home to Norman, OK I took an office job where I was on the phone for hours every day. One morning I woke up and literally could not move my neck from the position of cradling a phone against my shoulder. I had seen the Sparks Chiropractic sign on their office door, next to another business I'd been to in the past so that is who I called. I had no idea that I already knew one of the Sparks, Dr John, who I've known since we were in high school - what a blessing that felt like! So, I've been coming to Sparks Chiropractic in Norman to see Dr John since the late 90s. Seeing as how I already knew his personality, and the kindness and respect he has for others, I won't go anyone else until he retires!
As the years have passed, a few techniques and therapies have changed, but all in all, I know how truly helpful and amazing the benefits of chiropractic are for everyone. Yes, it helps with back, and other bodily pain. Whether from a hard fall, a car wreck, or any other physical trauma a person might suffer from. But did you know that it can even help with ADD/ADHD, allergies, migraines and so much more!
I came back to Sparks Clinic again, for the 4th or fifth time, after I was in a really bad car wreck Oct 2025. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the current office staff at Sparks in Norman. Karen is the friendliest, most welcoming young woman you'll ever meet. From day one, as soon as anyone walks through the door, she knows your name, is always wearing a smile, and greets you by name. The other young ladies who work there, are just as friendly, but unfortunately, I don't remember their names bc they've moved to the Moore office. Karen's the one who's there every day the doors are open, and who I've had the most contact with, though. I know that when you meet her, Dr John, and anyone else who works at Sparks, you'll feel just as welcome, and taken care of, as I do!“
