About Glen Helen Raptor Center
Glen Helen Raptor Center is a wonderful place to visit, offering the opportunity to learn about and connect with nature. It is free to attend, but donations are appreciated to support its operations. The center is home to various raptors with informative nameplates. Visitors can interact with knowledgeable and kind staff, who are there to answer questions and even demonstrate a raptor, like the red-tailed hawk, that cannot be returned to the wild. The facility is clean and quiet, providing a respectful environment for all guests. It is fully ADA compliant, featuring nice railings around the enclosures. The Raptor Center is a great educational center and a true hidden gem, making it a perfect stop for a day trip, especially since it is conveniently located near Yellow Springs. Additionally, the center provides valuable resources for those who find injured birds, as shown by their assistance with a hurt Barred Owl. A visit to this establishment is highly recommended, especially for those who enjoy learning and taking the time to read the information as they walk around. However, it is important to note that there are no public restrooms available.
Great place to explore with your family. The education you can receive is limitless. The staff most definitely shows you the passion and the great knowledge about what they do there. It’s pretty awesome to learn right along with our children here.
